Folate 400 supplement

Folate 400

Folate 400 contains 400 μg of folic acid in folate form in one herbal capsule.

Many foods contain folate, a B vitamin. Folic acid is a man-made type of folate. Folate is sometimes called folacin or vitamin B9.

Normally, the body needs to convert both natural folate and synthetic folic acid in food into active 5-methyltetrahydrofolate before it can be utilized in the body.

Quatrefolic® folate, on the other hand, is already in the bioactive form of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate.

More Information

Folate is essential for the creation of red blood cells, as well as for proper cell growth and function.

During early pregnancy, the vitamin is essential for lowering the risk of brain and spine abnormalities. Folate is mostly found in dark green leafy vegetables, legumes, peas, and nuts.

Folic acid is used to treat and prevent folate deficient anaemia. Help your baby’s brain, skull, and spinal cord develop properly throughout pregnancy to avoid developmental issues (known as neural tube defects) including spina bifida.
