Daily Intake
Adults take 1 capsule per day or 1 capsule 2 times a day as needed.
If you use valerian as a sleep aid, you want it to work as rapidly as possible. As a result, we would recommend taking capsules with a little amount of water or juice 30 minutes before bedtime.

Valerian may improve the efficacy of other sleep aids. It also enhances the sedative effects of depressants including alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids.

Valerian was traditionally used to treat sleeplessness, migraines, lethargy, and stomach cramps. Today, valerian is recommended for insomnia, anxiety, depression, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menopausal symptoms, and headaches. Valerian’s roots and rhizomes (underground stems) are used medicinally.
Valerian root extract has been shown in studies to enhance the level of gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA helps control nerve cells and reduces anxiety.
