The must-have supplement for immune support!

Apple taste Zinc acetate tablets

Product Information

Zinc is biologically versatile and important to human health. And when it comes to winter wellness, zinc defends like no other.

Zinc has many general health benefits including its contribution to normal cognitive function, maintenance of normal hair, skin, nails, and bones, and normal fertility and reproduction.

Zinc is effective when 80-90 mg is taken daily in several intakes.

Zinc is most effective for immune support when taken as Zinc acetate in the form of oral-dissolving lozenges or tablets. It is believed that this is because Zinc acetate does not bind chemically to zinc ions, allowing for more free ions to be released.

Dissolving tablet format is important for immediate immune support because as the tablet dissolves, it releases zinc ions into the saliva and the back of the throat (pharyngeal region) where it is thought to have localized effects beyond the systematic effects it has once it reaches the bloodstream.

Contribute to strengthening the immune system during the fall and winter seasons.

Additional Information

Certain blood pressure medicines and acid-blocking drugs might cause mild zinc insufficiency. Hypothyroidism can also be accompanied with zinc insufficiency.

Due to substances in legumes and grains that might prevent zinc absorption, vegetarians may need up to 50% more zinc than meat eaters do each day.

Supplemental zinc, usually in the form of pills, can help delay the progression of severe age-related macular degeneration (AMD) of the retina as well as zinc insufficiency, which can harm the immune system, induce diarrhea and hair loss, affect taste, among other things.

In order to operate locally on the throat and shorten the duration of a cold, zinc is also given as a lozenge (or other orally dissolving formulation).

Colds lasted 33% less time on average in seven randomized studies using zinc acetate and zinc gluconate lozenges.

Why zinc works in some experiments but not in others is a mystery to researchers. Which zinc is most effective is still up for debate. Additionally, research has not established the optimal zinc intake. Additionally, scientists are unsure of how patients might keep zinc adverse effects at bay. Therefore, it is unclear what the ideal dosage or treatment strategy might be.

Adults should consume no more than 40 milligrams of zinc per day unless their doctors advise differently.

The best course of action is to see your doctor before taking zinc for a cold.
