One study indicated that taking beetroot juice at least six days before strenuous exercise or sporting competitions increased stamina and recuperation.

Other studies discovered that active healthy persons who supplemented with beetroot juice for 15 days had an increase in power and oxygen during continuous exercise.

Beetroot juice is high in iron, magnesium, folate, and antioxidants, making it an ideal post-workout drink.
