More Information
Apple pectin is a prebiotic that promotes intestinal health by feeding good bacteria and limiting the growth of harmful bacteria.
It can also help with weight management by increasing feelings of fullness and decreasing food consumption.
Pectin is a soluble fibre that can be found in a variety of fruits and vegetables.
It regulates the gut flora and, in recent research, has showed promise in protecting the liver against metabolic damage induced by alcohol and the Western diet.
Apple pectin can be taken by mixing the recommended amount with water or fruit juice, or by swallowing empty capsules. Apple pectin powder can be taken at any time throughout the day. A typical daily intake of apple pectin ranges from 10g to 20g.
Some people have reported mild stomach cramps and diarrhea while taking MCP. People who are allergic to citrus fruits should avoid MCP.
Also, MCP may interfere with certain cancer treatments and should not be taken without supervision. Pectin can reduce the body’s ability to absorb beta-carotene, an important nutrient.

Emilia G., Hungary (verified owner) –
I purchased this apple pectin and experimented with creating jams as a homemade organic option for boxed products. It actually works!
So far, the varieties I’ve created have worked with the same measurements as the box brands. To prevent clumping, combine it with a little sugar before blending with a stick blender until absolutely smooth.
