BioActive Q10 Uniqinol® contains ubiquinone in its active form as ubiquinone. Traditional ubiquinone is the oxidized form of the substance.
Enzymes must reduce it in the intestine to ubiquinol before it can be absorbed and act. Ubiquinol can therefore be absorbed directly and it usually raises the blood concentration of ubiquinone about three times higher than traditional ubiquinone if the dose is the same.
