Camelina oil is comparable in nutritional composition to flaxseed oil. Camellina oil has the advantage of a particularly neutral taste and considerably better shelf life than flaxseed oil.

The seed oil of the Camelina plant (rye, flax, Camelina sativa) is particularly rich in alpha-linolenic acid (Omega-3).

Camelina oil is packed with heart-healthy Omega-3 and powerful antioxidants. It is also more stable than flax oil and purer that fish oil.

Camelina oil is abundant in sterols, which are shown to inhibit with cholesterol absorption. In one research, it was shown that adding camelina oil to the participants’ diet reduced blood cholesterol levels. Camelina was twice as effective when compared to olive or canola oil. Helps control cholesterol.

Camelina oil lowers blood triglyceride levels. This is good for cardiovascular health as it reduces the risk of heart diseases.

When taken internally, it provides large amounts of omega – 3 fatty acids. Regular intake of omega- reduces overall inflammation. One can experience a reduction in pain, inflammation and swelling over the joint.

Foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, like alpha linoleic acid, EPA and DHA are helpful in keeping the brain, eyes and nerves healthy. As a result, camelina oil may protect against cognitive diseases, like dementia, Alzheimer’s, eye diseases like macular degeneration and nervous damage due to inflammation.

Camelina oil is great for balancing blood fat levels, especially if your diet contains excessive amounts of Omega-6 fatty acids, as is the case with many today. Camelina oil is also rich in other essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid (omega-6) and oleic acid (Omega-9).

If you suffer from chronic pain or from an injury, camelina oil can be taken internally as well as used on the skin to work as an anti-inflammatory. This can also work on arthritis pain, something Omega-3s are great for!

Camelina oil cold pressed, 200ml

A good source of omega3 (actually contains a source of DHA and EPA, they cannot be obtained as such from plant products). If you eat fish, you don’t need camelina oil, but it’s an excellent source of omega3 for vegans. Linseed oil is even better

Disadvantages: well, oil is oil, so it also contains a lot of energy. In addition, it is possible that seed oils (and seeds) also contain heavy metals. Of course, the quantities are extremely small and the benefit from them cancels out the disadvantages, but I myself change oils and take breaks from time to time.

Research done at the University of Eastern Finland. Camelina oil affects cholesterol values even better than fish. A comparative study was carried out. I trust that. It also had a good effect on me.

Same thing, my husband’s col. values are now at a good level, while before he was sometimes around 7. He didn’t believe it at first, and didn’t even want to try, but the ram finally agreed and in a year they went down to 5 levels.

My values have been fine almost all the time, in the older ones they rose above 5, but they stay below that with camelina.

I order directly from the factory, you can get it much cheaper than in stores … 10 0.5 liter bottles.

The 3 l jug would be the most affordable, but difficult to store when it has to be opened and kept in the fridge, even if you bottle it again.

Maybe you can’t get straightforward effect from using this product. But if you replace hard fats (e.g. butter) with soft fats (vegetable oils) and reduce the amount of red meat you eat and increase the amount of fish you eat, your cholesterol levels will definitely improve, as long as you don’t have genetically high levels.

I can’t use because of the rough taste. But yes, it has a good fatty acid composition, studies have shown that it can lower cholesterol, and this is not even an oil plant made edible by modern processing, but camelina oil has been used, especially in Germany and Russia, as an oil plant since the days of the Roman Empire.

I have that but the taste is not so good. My husband refused to take it, but I have tried to use it myself. I dip the bread.

I am now trying this oil. I have already reduced my cholesterol a little by eating oatmeal every day. FP-Cholesterol used to be 5.8 and is now 5.3 (reference value max 5) and triglycerides dropped from 2.7 to 1.7 (reference value max 1.7). There is approx. 1 year between the measurements. I haven’t eaten red meat in a few years.
